Welcome to Willms Psychology

My name is Alanna, I am a Registered Psychologist with The College of Alberta Psychologists in Edmonton, Alberta. I value the inherent dignity that all humans hold. I believe a good therapeutic relationship can be a safe and comfortable space for change and growth. I am deeply privileged to hold people’s stories and walk with them through life’s challenges. I am grateful for the opportunity to be present and attuned with all kinds of people. I work from a client centred, strengths-based and humanistic approach and utilize a variety of modalities. I have specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Emotion Focused Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy. I also enjoy being able to provide Christian counselling.

Outside the therapy room, I am a mom to three, a wife, a sister and daughter, nature enthusiast, and an avid baker.

Who do I support?

Support is available for adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, and relationship concerns. I have a unique interest working with individuals and couples experiencing infertility, loss, and postpartum and perinatal concerns.
